MOQ Reduction Strategies
Factories set Minimum Order Quantities to cover fixed costs — mold fabrication, machine setup, material minimums from their suppliers. Each strategy below targets a specific cost component, making it economical for the factory to accept smaller orders.
The key insight: MOQ is not arbitrary. It is a financial calculation. Change the financial equation, and the MOQ changes with it.
